My school had a Sock Hop on Friday. Of course, I had to work at it (but only for a short while), but the kids had fun. Aiden wanted to dress up as a tiger and Elly got a sort of retro looking outfit. Today, Aiden and I made reindeer food to leave out for Santa's reindeer. I thought I had oatmeal, but could not find any in the pantry. So what do you do when it's hot and you have poison ivy! You take your kids out at 10:00 am and let them drive vehicles in your shaded driveway. This was Elly's first time in either vehicle. I can't believe our princess is one year old today. How time has flown. Words cannot express how much we love our little girl. She is so beautiful inside and out; we are so lucky. What a wonderful day! I woke up to a giant (about 2x2) card from Eric and the kids with a spa gift card inside. Then, we were off to the Scarborough Fair which is about 1hr15 min drive from the house (South of Dallas). We enjoyed a hot Texas day and had our first family day in the pool. (Eric and I went once a few weeks ago, but it was too cold for the kids.) Aiden is getting better and better with his swimming. Elly liked her boat and seemed thrilled with the whole pool concept. It was a nice day.
