Care for a Dance?

On Saturday evening we went headed to the Celina Balloon Festival and hit some severe thunderstorm, lighting, the works. On our way home we ran into this cool looking Texas Roadhouse place, so we decided to stop for dinner. This place was pure Texas. They had a live band playing country music, a dance floor, the works. Aiden wanted to dance, so I escorted him onto the floor. He was more in to the punk rock, mosh pit type dancing, so we didn't last long. Elly was so good, she didn't fuss one bit and Eric enjoyed the Texas eats.

Elly!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Why oh why have you given up your second nap of the day? You're just foolin' right? Yesterday, I never got around to putting you down for it, and today I did put you down and you would not sleep. Lord help me.

Happy Birthday Elly

I can't believe our princess is one year old today. How time has flown. Words cannot express how much we love our little girl. She is so beautiful inside and out; we are so lucky. We are having a small party for her tonight with a few friends. I will make sure to update this post tomorrow with some pictures.

Edited to add: Here are some pics from the party. Elly did okay for the first 15 minutes and then she got very fussy and started crying (just like big brother at his 1st bday party). She liked the cake and had fun spreading it everywhere. Even after this morning's bath she has slightly pink hands. She went to bed after an hour and passed out in her party dress. Our neighbors and friends were all wonderful, caring people and it meant a lot that they came to spend this special time with us. "Uncle Dave" and "Aunt Janet" were super sweet because they got a special Thomas Tank toy for Aiden and even their dogs gave Elly a gift. (In case you dont' know, Aiden wants their wiener dogs, Lily and Toby for himself). I am also secretly, well not so secretly jealous of my friend Mandy's wrapping talents. Her big purple gift was to die for and she made the card she gave to Elly. Mandy is very talented.

List of Attendees:
Mandy and Daughters Angie and Alexandria
Lauren and Son Colin
Kendra and Daughter Chloe
Dave and Janet
Julie
Kelly and Son Logan and Daughter Lauren couldn't attend, but sent Elly presents.

San Antonio and More

Here are some recent picks from Memorial Day Weekend at San Antonio and Cider feeling the TX heat - lol! BTW, that was a 46 oz margarita or something close to it.....

The Landscaping

I can't believe the difference! People keep peeking over our fence in the backyard to get ideas and call me the resident landscaper. Many many many hours have gone into the front and backyard. It's satisfying to know most of it was my design, especially the front.
