What a wonderful day! I woke up to a giant (about 2x2) card from Eric and the kids with a spa gift card inside. Then, we were off to the Scarborough Fair which is about 1hr15 min drive from the house (South of Dallas). It is a medieval theme fair and lots of people dress up; it's like taking a trip back in time. There are no mechanical rides. No A/C. The fair is only open in April and May. They have lots of greasy food and tons of things to buy. I turned down the pair of $70 homemade earring Eric was considering - lol!

We spent our first moments there watching a turtle show. They had a funny older gent pretending to be a superhero turtle racer. Lots of adult humor that Aiden didn't get, but he liked watching the turtles race.

I got so much joy out of seeing Aiden have fun. He loved everything! The only thing I wouldn't let him do that he wanted was to ride the elephant (too dangerous). I would say his favorite thing was the boat ride (see pic). It was so funny seeing this skinny employee push this giant boat swing full of 5 kids and 2 grown men. It was def. a job for the strong. He also enjoyed riding the "white horse" or llama.

Elly had a happy time just riding around in her stroller. It was a nice cool day (topped out at 72), so it was easy keeping her cool and content.

After the fun, we headed home, got some "ass cream" and mommy did some gardening. The kids had their bath and Aiden put on his cowboy hat and striped dog pjs and struck a pose on the stairs - need I say more?!

A mother couldn't ask for a better gift than 2 beautiful children. We are so blessed to have such a healthy, happy family. Today I was simply reminded of how lucky I am.
